Job Summary:

The Senior Program Manager/Supervisor will take on a supervisory role for the newly hired Junior Program Coordinator and our psychiatry residency and tracks. Position will train and support to use and update MedHub, Electronic Resident Application System (ERAS), NRMP (Match) and AAMC websites, assist to screen over 1200 applications and assist the Residency Program Director (PD) and the Associate Program Directors (APDs) in the selection of applicants for interview. In this regard this position will have a unique role in the selection of future faculty by determining if the applicant is appropriate for one of our programs. This position will train on GME and ACGME requirements and policies, orientation practices, assist the Chief Residents with rotation and call schedules, educational coordination between 10 sites, 40+ faculty members and up to 45 psychiatry residents.

Senior Program Manager/Supervisor will provide direction, leadership and day-to-day management of educational and departmental activities, administrative support to the PD and APDs, assist the PD and APDs in curriculum planning and budgeting, wellness events, rural site visits. This position will be responsible for knowing the rules and regulations of the Psychiatry Residency Review Committee of the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education. It will oversee development of the residency and other residency track websites. Will demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, organizational and problem-solving skills, obtain detailed knowledge of responsibilities, functions and management structure of the residency training program, the Department and the larger Institution, organize and independently prioritize work, establish procedures and systems, and ensure orderly and timely workflow.

Will coordinate and administer human resource functions and participate in budget review and financial processes for all of the general psychiatry programs. Will be responsible for knowing and implementing the rules and regulations of the NRMP match in order to provide candidates with accurate information about all of the general psychiatry programs, salary, benefits, and other conditions for employment. Will provide support and maintain communication with the rural sites. To this effect, will effectively oversee management of not only the categorical residency, but also the community psychiatry tracks (at least 6 different unique residency sites at any given time). These each have their own unique requirements, budgets and requirements that will oversee compliance with.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field and 4 years related experience. May require additional certification(s), depending on the specific program.

Work Days:

Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm, (lunch break 12-1pm), extra hours include after hours meetings (GME meetings 7-8am once every month, residency open houses, additional hours during recruitment and onboarding)

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. The salary range depicted is based on full time, 1.0 FTE and would be prorated accordingly for less than 1.0 FTE.
