Job Summary:

The licensed clinical social worker position provides high-quality care to a diverse outpatient population of children, adolescents, and families in the Upstate Child and Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Services (CAIOS) program. The program is expanding to provide intensive services to adolescents struggling with eating disorders and providing intensive services to families with younger children with severe emotional and behavioral dysregulation. The program utilizes evidence-based treatments (DBT, ACT, and FBT). 

The full-time clinician will provide individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and parent coaching. The clinician will provide consultation and coordination of care with schools and outside providers as needed. The clinician will attend yearly hospital-required performance evaluations and will maintain Continuing Education credits. The clinician will work closely will collaborate and work closely with the Adolescent Pediatric Department. The clinician will work within a multi-disciplinary, multi-department setting that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers, pediatricians, nutritionists, and nurses. Candidate must excel in providing patient-centered care to support the patient’s recovery. DBT, ACT, and FBT experience preferred. Training and supervision can be provided.

Minimum Qualifications:

MSW from a Social Work program accredited by the Council on Social Work (CSWE); M.S.W., L.M.S.W., L.C.S.W. or eligible, 3 years relevant post-masters experience (preferably in a hospital and/or healthcare environment) required. New M.S.W. graduates who are L.M.S.W. eligible will be considered for appointment to entry-level (SL2) positions at a commensurate salary after obtaining a Limited Permit. Incumbent must obtain L.M.S.W. within 12 months of receipt of the limited permit. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is preferred. Experience working on a multi-disciplinary team or Outpatient experience in a Hospital setting is preferred.

Monday-Friday, Days
