Job Summary:

The State University of New York Upstate Medical University (SUNY Upstate), located in Syracuse, New York, invites qualified candidates who can assist with and/or lead standardized patient programs and scheduling of people in the continuous operation and administration of the Clinical Skills Center. Full management of select sessions (to include: recruitment and training of SPs; creating cases; set up for sessions in SimCapture; creating schedules; participation in debriefs and consultation with faculty) which will be confirmed in conjunction with the candidate. Assisting in running sessions as requested by department leadership in the Clinical Skills Center as needed to support scheduled sessions including conducting orientations, proctoring, etc.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree, minimum of three to five years director level experience within the Upstate Medical University Clinical Skills Center. Strong organizational, communications, and collaboration skills. Ability to work with faculty, staff, colleagues, and students from Upstate and beyond. Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information with tact and courtesy.

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters degree

 

Work Days:

Day hours; schedule may vary and is dependent on assignment. There will be variability on a weekly basis depending on the sessions managed by the candidate and may be more or less concentrated in some weeks than others.
