Job Summary:

The Stress Echocardiology Registered Nurse provides direct care to patients undergoing procedures in the Electrocardiology Department.

Key Responsibilities:

Administering medication to perform moderate sedation.

Participate in diagnostic and treatment procedures in electrophysiology,

Document activities of patient care and testing, and assisting physicians in testing and assessment of cardiac problems.

Communicate results of testing to nursing and case managers and will be responsible for continuing education research and patient teaching.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Nursing, with a minimum of 2 years Cardiac Care nursing experience required.

NYS licensed/registered RN (or eligible).

CPR-BLS certification and ACLS certification required by time of appointment. 

Must be able to handle physical aspects of patient care such as moving patients and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in an ICU, Critical Care, or Cardiac Stress/Echo Lab setting.

Work Days:

Day Shifts: 40 hours per week with on call requirements.
