Job Summary:

The Student Success Program Manager will provide leadership and direction to a new SUNY-wide training and professional development program focused on the needs of campus stakeholders engaged in SUNY Transformation Fund initiatives across the SUNY system, with a particular focus on supporting the recently launched Advancing Success in Associate Pathways (ASAP) and Advancing Completion through Engagement (ACE) programs at 25 SUNY campuses. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of higher education environments, a passion for fostering student success, and the ability to create engaging and effective training initiatives to build professional practice. In dialogue with the SUNY Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Success and Transformational Initiatives, the Program Manager will be responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering comprehensive training and professional development programs for individuals serving in student support and student success roles. These professionals can include those serving in roles such as leading ASAP|ACE efforts, advising, applied learning, student success, career development, student health/counseling services, student activities, workforce development, and others. The Program Manager will develop a wide range of opportunities in support of campuses and in alignment with the priorities of SUNY System Administration and the Office of Student Success with a specific focus on supporting Transformation Fund initiatives and campuses ASAP|ACE replication efforts. The Student Success Program Manager will also facilitate communities of practice to inform programs in this area. This position is a member of the SUNY CPD Program Development Team, developing models and strategies to fulfill the training and professional development needs of their specific communities. Programs will be delivered in a variety of formats, leveraging both SUNY technologies and expertise to enable this work. Onsite event management may be required and includes limited travel within New York.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in Education, Counseling, Student Affairs, or a related field and three years of relevant experience including at least two years working with and leading academic communities and projects required. Proven experience in designing and delivering professional development programs and events, preferably in a higher education setting. Strong understanding of student support and success principles and practices. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Experience with educational and collaboration technologies. Proven ability to forge collaborative relationships, working effectively in a team environment, and interacting with numerous and diverse staff and leadership at all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of the SUNY System and experience working with campus staff preferred. Knowledge of major SUNY initiatives and trends within the industry of higher education preferred.

Work Days:

Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
