Job Summary:

The Upstate CPR & AHA Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Upstate CPR Education and skills. They are responsible for scheduling all levels of CPR classes for Upstate employees and managing and tracking of all the documents per the AHA Program Administration Manual. Serves as the main point of contact for AHA-related questions and helps maintain/issue CPR updates per AHA. Responsible for developing and maintaining CPR education strategic plan. Performs as a CPR Instructor and coordinates ongoing Quality CPR Program in accordance with American Heart Association guidelines. Coordinates the scheduling of all "standard" required certification card classes as outlined by AHA. Coordinates skills testing for all online CPR Courses. Supervises the per diem instructors and coordinates the scheduling of instructor courses and instructor renewals for the Training Center. Maintain Upstate's certification as an AHA Training Center. Maintains and replaces all CPR training equipment. Documents and tracks CPR. Develops and justifies budgetary needs for AHA training site. Oversees the Upstate CPR website while using social media as an informational tool.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates degree and four (4) years of related experience in a health-related field or Bachelors degree and two (2) years of related experience in a health-related field required. Supervisory experience required. Current CPR-BLS certification required by time of appointment. Incumbent must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to work with the public and staff. Proficient in MS Office programs including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:

CPR-BLS Instructor certification preferred. CPR or education experience preferred.

Work Days:

M-F 7:00-3:30 with flexible hours dependent on unit needs
