Provides administrative and secretarial support for departments, offices or project areas, including facilitation of overall office functions.

Responsible for patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling appointments, answering phones and routing messages to appropriate parties. Secretarial duties for assigned staff generally include either items of a confidential nature or reports, presentations and correspondence requiring the ability to create/revise complex documents. May also be required to assist with a variety of special projects or studies. Office management duties may include coordination of general office functions such as office workflow, inventory, purchasing, communication, or security. Other duties include scheduling appointments and meetings, answering and screening calls, giving information to callers, greeting visitors, and mail distribution.

Associates Degree or pertinent college level courses and two years of administrative/office management experience. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.

Competency with Microsoft Office or comparable office software and other software applications, as required. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently. May require dictation/transcription skills.
