Job Summary:
The Administrative Coordinator will provide support to the Pathology Department's undergraduate and graduate education programs, including responding to emails from medical students, faculty and the Registrar's office about service scheduling for medical student electives and shadowing experiences. The Administrative Coordinator will provide support for several CME conferences in the department including Grand Rounds. The Administrative Coordinator will also provide support to the Program Director, Program Manager, faculty, and trainees of the Pathology Residency and Fellowship programs, including assistance with coordinating yearly on-boarding and departure processes with the graduate medical education office and human resources for trainees in the department; planning of welcome events and graduation; assistance with scheduling and managing logistics of yearly fellowship recruiting efforts; tracking data on current and past trainees; coordinating yearly didactic schedule for new trainees; updating policies and procedures manual; assisting with future accreditation processes; and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree or pertinent college level courses and three years of administrative/office management experience. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate Degree or pertinent college level courses and three years of administrative/office management experience in a healthcare related setting. Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent organizational and time management skills required. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), videoconferencing, excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to take initiative by thinking through logistical needs and high degree of professionalism required. Experience in administration coordination of educational training programs/higher education preferred.
Work Days:
Monday - Friday daytime hours
