Job Summary:

The Assistant Director of Quality for Upstate Neurological Institute (UNI) facilitates, assesses, plans, implements, and develops a coordinated, inter-disciplinary, Quality Management Program. The incumbent will be reporting to the Administrator, Upstate Neurological Institute, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and working with physician leadership, assistant directors of nursing, and operations leadership. This position will coordinate and direct enhancing the UNI Centers of Excellence by broadening the quality and data analytics focus to have a higher and positive impact on the overall program operations, along with managing and coordinating UNI Quality metrics and quality management planning. Responsible for directing the program's strategic and quality focuses that encompass innovative efforts, EMR optimization, DNV survey readiness, and survey performance improvement action plans, US News & World Hospital Data Insights portal benchmarking, stakeholder relations, business growth, and dynamically contribute to the program's success. Provides oversight of data analytics, outreach, marketing operations, and initiatives. Supervises & develops employees and future Nurse Navigators for the Centers of Excellence, and helps create & develop policies in close collaboration with Administrator, Assistant Directors of Nursing, physician leadership, and operations leadership.

Minimum Qualifications:

R.N. NYS license (or eligible); MSN/ MHA or MPH, and five years of relevant health care related experience to include experience with quality clinical databases, data analysis and quality improvement initiatives required or related. Excellent written/oral communication, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and computer skills required. Must have the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

DNP, Certification in Neurosciences, Lean Six Sigma, CPHQ preferred

Monday-Friday, Days
