Job Summary:

The CARE Program Manager will work across the Upstate System and provide oversight and forensic nursing care to patients presenting with or disclosing sexual or physical abuse or sexual exploitation/human trafficking. The CARE Manager will also collaborate with community partners, including community and public health agencies, pre-hospital EMS providers, law enforcement agencies, advocacy organizations, child protective service professionals, and other healthcare professionals throughout the region. The CARE Program Manager will communicate, collaborate, and coordinate care with multiple disciplines to provide comprehensive care for this patient population.

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS License/Registration as a Registered Nurse: MSN and two years of post-licensure acute care experience (preferably in a specialty area) or BSN and 4 years of post-licensure acute care experience required. Certification as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner - Adult/Adolescent (SANE-A) and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Pediatric (SANE-P) required. Excellent written/oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required. American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Professional Level Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR required. Online BLS CPR programs are not acceptable.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior leadership experience preferred.
