Job Summary:

Instructs cytology students from hybrid program affiliation with Albany College of Pharmacy. Responsible for the oversight of the hands on training for post didactic lessons according to the curriculum. Generates and builds teaching sets and quizzes for students. Reviews results and educates through multi-head review and lessons. Responsible for administrative paperwork and student documentation for the program. Takes students on ROSE procedures and teaches cytology prep methods. Organizes ancillary training with other department supervisors such as cytogenetics, molecular and histology. Performs accurate evaluation and reporting of gynecologic, non gynecologic cytologic material and fine needle aspirations.
During downtime helps the department performs on-site adequacy assessments for fine needle aspiration procedures and screen cytology specimens.

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS Licensed Cytotechnologist/Cytologist.

Preferred Qualifications:

Four (4) years of experience in a teaching institution. Experience with teaching students. Experience with rare and uncommon cytology cases.

Work Days:

M-F flexible based on student need 9-4
