Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of this role will be to manage the Central New York Regions Statewide Perinatal Data System (SPDS) Core and NICU data bases, data reporting, and systems-related issues. The incumbent will be expected to provide user support for data coding, entry and submission of the SPDS records from all birth hospitals in the Central New York region, and of NICU records from hospitals with Neonatal Intensive Care Units. Additionally, they will analyze data and prepare reports for hospitals, NICUs, public health agencies, community-based organizations, and providers for quality improvement purposes. They will also analyze data provided by the local health department for program evaluation purposes and further engage with the local health department and community partners in public health activities. This position will also support other duties as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in discipline related to public health and 1 year of related experiance including the use of statistical software (e.g. SPSS) or an equivalent combination of education and experiance. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters Degree in Public Health or related field.

Monday-Friday (days)
