Job Summary:

The Director of the Clinical Trials Office is responsible for oversight and operations of the clinical trials office. The successful candidate will be responsible for review/processing for all Industry Sponsored Clinical Trial Agreements through the Research Foundation (RF), including related CDAs, NDAs and Master Clinical Trial Agreements. The Director of the Clinical Trials Office will work collaboratively with Upstate’s Research Administration Operations Team to engage and support clinical faculty interested in developing a research program or expanding their current research interests, create and deploy strategic clinical research initiatives including providing information on the clinical research infrastructure and on-campus centralized resources. The Director will work collaboratively with the RF for SUNY central office and other SUNY campuses to negotiate master CTA’s, harmonize processes and contribute to system-wide initiatives. The successful candidate will foster good working relationships with study teams and industry partners, exhibit strong communication skills and ensure operational transparency.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with negotiation of CTA and budgets with industry partners, supervisory experience, and experience with clinical trial management systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree, experience working in an academic medical center. Experience with Epic, TriNetX, and RedCap.

Work Days:

M-F 8:30-4:30, Hybrid work schedule may be available
