Job Summary:

The mission of SUNY Upstate Medical University is to improve the health of the communities we serve through Education, Biomedical Research, and Health Care.  Beyond our downtown campus, we provide care through our clinics and offices across the greater Syracuse area. 

In support of our ongoing growth, we are seeking highly skilled and motivated Advanced Practice Providers to join Upstate Ear Nose & Throat’s Outpatient Clinic located within the Upstate Specialty Services at Harrison Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct outpatient ENT encounters, providing education to and interfacing with primary teams, patients, and families.
  • Assess and evaluate patients, perform minor procedures, order and interpret laboratory tests & diagnostic studies, and arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, referring physicians, and all members of the health care team.

As an APP, you will be an integral member of the healthcare team, demonstrating professionalism, leadership, and a commitment to Upstate’s mission, vision, and values, while adhering to all institutional policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
  • Current NYS Licensure/Registration as a NP or PA required.
  • Have a NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire).
  • AHA CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment.
  • At Least 2 or more years of experience in a Primary Care or Internal Medicine role.
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment and credentialing clearances. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years experience in ENT.

Work Days:

Monday - Friday, 0800-1630; No Weekends or Call
