The Nurse Practitioner will serve Full-Time in a clinical role with an Academic Faculty appointment. This will occur in the Connect Care Clinic at SUNY Upstate’s Nappi Building at the Downtown Campus. In this position you will support our strategic initiative to improve quality, and enhance the patient, employee, and learner experience.
Primary responsibilities include management of patients recently discharged from the ED and hospital, as well as acute and primary care to patients in the outpatient setting. This will be done concomitantly whilst educating and precepting for students enrolled in SUNY Upstate College of Nursing NP program.
NYS licensed/registered NP required. Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner & current National Certification consistent to the clinical practice also required. NPI number and be Medicare enrolled with a Medicare Identification Number (or PTAN) (or eligible for Medicare Enrollment within 6 months of hire).
CPR-BLS Certification required at the time of appointment.
Must have 2+ years of post-graduate NP experience in an ambulatory setting.
Informal/formal teaching in a clinical or academic setting.
5+ years post graduate clinical experience in general medicine.
Monday - Friday, Days with flexibility to accommodate early evening & Saturday appts based on departmental needs.
