Job Summary:

The Nursing Health and Wellness Manager is responsible for the coordination and oversight of activities and initiatives aimed at enhancing the health, wellness, and wellbeing of nursing staff (NP, RN, HCT, UST and all nursing titles). This role will report to the Director for Nursing Recruitment, with a strong relationship to the Chief Wellness Officer and the Wellness Program Coordinator; this position is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating strategies to enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of nursing staff. The Nursing Health and Wellness Manager will participate in development, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives to improve nursing well-being outcomes and support a culture of wellness. This individual must be able to work across multiple disciplines and settings to implement the Wellness Strategic Plan and utilize the Wellness Program Mission and Vision as guidance.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Nursing or Masters degree in Nursing required. If BSN prepared, Master's degree in educational or healthcare related field required. NYS licensed/registered (or eligible) RN required. Minimum of 3 years post-licensure acute care RN experience required. Excellent written/oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required. Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in nursing wellness initiatives. Must have a baseline understanding of the ANCC Healthy Nurse Healthy Nation initiative and a baseline understanding of project management principles.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in Nursing preferred. Specialty certification in a wellness related area preferred. Experience with health planning and wellness initiatives preferred. Project management experience and program development preferred.

Work Days:

Monday-Friday (with occasional evenings and weekends)
