Job Summary:

The Nursing Quality Manager will report to the Director of Quality Improvement. This role will oversee all nursing quality sensitive indicators at both the organizational and unit level. Responsibilities will include collaboration with key stakeholders in identifying system wide and unit level opportunities for improvement, knowledge deficits, and will ensure action plans are developed and implemented to ensure outperformance is achieved. The Nursing Quality Manager will have the ability to develop high-level system strategic plans using Evidence-Based Practice interventions/initiatives to implement system wide standards of care to assure ongoing improvements in nurse sensitive indicators. Must have the ability to analyze and interpret data which is essential to facilitate, design, and develop process improvement initiatives based on findings. The Nursing Quality Manager will utilize evidence-based practices in identifying key interventions to improve quality of care and patient outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS licensed/registered nurse or eligible required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing and 4 years satisfactory clinical experience providing direct patient care required. Outstanding oral and written communication skills, including using evidence-based practice, and strong presentation skills required. CPR-BLS required by time of appointment. Completion of accredited Wound Ostomy Continence ET Nurse Program and current certification in Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing strongly preferred or ability to complete within 6 months post-hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master of Science in Nursing preferred
