Job Summary:
Handles the day-to-day front office operations of the Nursing Recruitment Office. This includes but is not limited to; Processing onboarding paperwork. Assisting with onboarding of new employees. Verifying conditions of employment. Following up with candidates regarding pre-employment requirements. Managing the front end operations of the office-including inventory, ordering and routine maintenance of office supplies/equipment. Scheduling and arranging Career Fairs. Continued development and growth of Shadow Program/High School Pipeline Program-Involves Central New York area high schools, focusing mainly on underserved populations, including the Syracuse City School District and rural school districts. Goal to provide students with exposure to Upstate University Hospital and provide a direct relationship with students at a young age to positively influence them to become potential future employees at Upstate. Answers main phone line and assists internal and external customers with a high level of customer service. Respond to questions from hiring managers and administrators related to the on-line employment System. Answer recruitment/appointment/onboarding questions. Administrative support to the Nursing Recruitment Director, and additional recruitment tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree and two years related experience in an administrative capacity or equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent written/oral communication, computer, organizational and customer service skills, plus prior experience with complex systems and a variety of Microsoft Office application systems required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous human resources experience in a healthcare, higher education or public organizational setting strongly preferred.
Work Days:
M-F 7:30-4pm Occasional evenings/weekends as needed with varying start times
