Job Summary:

The Pathologist's Assistant will have authority and responsibility for supervising the day-to-day operations of the Surgical Pathology Gross Room at the Downtown and Community campus, (supervisory, technical, safety, educational, etc.) and any associated operations at Harrison Surgery Center. The Pathologist's Assistant will organize, plan, delegate, implement, and participate as needed in completing tasks in consultation with the Department Managers and Section Medical Director.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of an NAACLS (National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science) accredited Masters Program for Pathologists' Assistants required OR ASCP certification or eligibility required. Must be able to meet any current NYS Dept. of Health or Education Department requirements for licensing for the specific discipline of Pathologists Assistant.

M-F 8:00am-4:30pm
