Job Summary:

Functions as a Phlebotomist for the Department of Pathology in any location operated by the laboratory as a Patient Service Center or Limited Service Laboratory or when required at a patient's home. Performs Routine and difficult phlebotomies for patients as ordered by qualified providers. Uses EMR /LIS systems to create registrations, transcribe/scan outside physician orders, convert (if needed), release and accession orders and to contact providers. Identifies patients and labels specimens appropriately.

Minimum Qualifications:

Phlebotomy experience, or graduation from an approved Phlebotomy program Required; Good computer and interpersonal skills also required. Must have reliable means of transportation and a NYS drivers license.

Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm; hours may vary weekends holidays as needed
