SUNY Upstate is seeking a clinical psychologist to join the new Integrated Behavioral Health Care program at the Nappi Wellness Institute, serving a diverse and often at-risk outpatient population. Working within a collaborative, team-based and integrated care model, the psychologist will be deployed in one or more primary care clinics to provide direct service as well as consultation and training. Briefer problem-focused interventions are emphasized focusing on common mental health problems, substance abuse, and the psychosocial aspects of chronic health conditions. The psychologist will work side by side with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, care managers, and other disciplines in a dynamic team environment focused on individual and population mental health. There is also an Office of Mental Health certified Integrated Care Clinic in the building, where behavioral health providers will be able to see adult patients for more traditional mental health treatments.
Ph.D. or Psy.D. and NYS license (or eligible) Psychologist required but must receive license within 1 year of employment. *If currently unlicensed, a limited permit is required.
Experience working with Dialectical Behavior Therapy and mental health experience working with adult patients strongly preferred.
