Job Summary:

The Associate Director of Nursing for Throughput Operations assumes overall responsibility for the implementation of the vision, mission, plans and standards of the organization and patient care services within their defined areas of responsibility. Specific duties include day to day oversight of the development, operations, and staffing of the Throughput Operations Center, and ongoing management, evaluation, and assessment of system wide patient flow and throughput, clinical operations, customer and staff satisfaction, quality management, standards, certification and accreditation activities, professional practice activities, nursing staff education, and developing community relationships. Reports to the Executive Director of Nursing with latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

Minimum Qualifications:

NYS licensed/registered (or eligible) Registered Nurse required. Master's degree in nursing or healthcare-related field required. (If Master's degree is non-Nursing, Bachelor's in nursing required). Minimum of 7 years post-licensure acute care nursing experience to include 5 years of nursing management experience in a health care environment, which encompasses medical staff relationships, health planning, quality management, human resource development, and management required. Effective leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills required.  CPR-BLS certification is required by the time of appointment. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree and Nursing leadership certification preferred.
