Job Summary:
The Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy Nurse Navigator is responsible for the comprehensive pre-transplant, post-transplant and cellular therapy outpatient coordination to guide patients and their families through the entire therapy process. The RN Navigator serves as a liaison to connect patients and their families with different functional teams (clinical, apheresis, cell processing, data analysis) on the transplant program and external agents (NMDP donor center, CAR-T manufacture, HLA labs) to ensure timely updates and monitor patient progress throughout their treatment, and assure the highest level of patient satisfaction.
Minimum Qualifications:
NYS licensed/registered (or eligible) RN required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing or healthcare-related field, three (3) years related RN experience required OR an associate degree in Nursing and five (5) years related RN experience required. Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills required. CPR-BLS certification is required by time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Transplant and Cellular Therapy-related patient care preferred.
