Job Summary:
Under direction of Purchase Associate, responsible for order placement of products, non-capital equipment and repairs for Perioperative departments. Work closely with clinical staff and Purchase Associate in determining departmental needs and objectives in regard to materials acquisition. Places and tracks orders, maintains and replenishes surgical inventory through manual/visual and database tracking; work closely with vendors and surgical teams to ensure par levels, continuous product flow and substitutions in the event of unavailability. Functions as a liaison between clinical staff and vendors to obtain product information and pricing. Maintains accurate records; provides database management: reconciles transactions or discrepancies with Hospital Purchasing and Accounts Payable. Assist with Value Analysis Programs, QI initiatives and special projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree and two years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, plus excellent written/oral communication, analytical and computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Purchasing and/or materials management experience, familiarity with Microsoft 365 suite, business objects and tableau preferred.
Work Days:
M-F 7am-3:30pm occasional overtime based on operational needs
